Amidst the lively bustle of the open day, we found a quiet moment with Elise Deneer, the driving force behind Geboortegift. It was fascinating to hear her story, the story of a company that has grown immensely in just six years.
With fitting pride, she talked about the large showroom that was recently opened: "After six years of hard work, we now have this beautiful space where our customers can experience the magic of Geboortegift," says Elise, as she points to the colorful displays full of gifts.
"But you know," she says with a twinkle in her eye, "what really makes this adventure special are the people I work with. The colleagues here have become like family. We've laughed, cried, and worked incredibly hard together."
When asked about the success of Geboortegift, she smiles modestly: "It still feels surreal that we are now the biggest worldwide. That's something really special." She pauses for a moment. "But what I'm truly proud of is that we make so many babies happy every day."
Her eyes sparkle with enthusiasm as she talks about the journey of each gift: "It all started with a single box that I took to the post office myself. And now? Now we have a whole truck that comes by every day to pick up all the packages!"
Before our conversation ends, she shares a special anecdote: "One of the highlights was when we got to provide special diaper cakes for 'Gooische Moeders'. That really was a crowning achievement for us!"
